EAT PALM BEACH | MAXINE’S

We hit Maxine’s for a family dinner this weekend. Formerly Ocean Bleu, Maxine’s is located in Countyline Plaza on an endcap. They have a cute outdoor patio where there was live music playing and indoor seating with a long bar. They have a great selection of local beers and are pet-friendly outside which is a major draw.

We started off the meal with a sneaky Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer, offered in a Sweet Chili-Soy Glaze or Spicy Buffalo sauce. Both were super tasty and overall they have a pretty stellar mix of vegan options.

My eyes caught the specials menu and I immediately went for the Ahi Stack. It was light and fresh with crisp layers for some nice texture. The hubs went with the Lamb Bolognese, which was hearty and he seemed to enjoy quite a bit. We ordered a Flat Bread for our daughter which she happily ate between dance parties to the music. We finished the night with a slice of Shoo Fly Pie, which is a molasses-based coffee cake that is sweet and dense with a dollop of whipped cream.

Maxine’s is open for lunch, happy hour, dinner or weekend brunch. Walk-ins are welcome and the owner is usually there offering service with a smile. If you haven’t been, make the trip to Tequesta and see what all the locals are talking about!
