EAT PALM BEACH | FIGS

I had lunch at Figs today and am somewhat disappointed that I haven’t tried this place out sooner. Something about restaurants located in the mall/department stores are hard to take seriously. But the food was seriously delicious.

The service was great from the moment we entered the restaurant. The host was gracious and our server on top of everything. They kick you off with a focaccia bread and olive oil to dip complete with whole olives.

We started with the Roasted Pear Salad which had warm pears over baby spinach, sprinkled with goat cheese, toasted almonds and a warm brown butter-sour cherry vinaigrette. The dressing had the consistency of a glaze and the baby spinach was perfectly fresh and crisp.

We split the Red Sox Pizza, which was hard to order given its name (Go Yankees!), but it turned out to be a good choice with spicy sausage, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions and a mustard aioli. The small size pizza was definitely large enough to share and went great with the salad.

The decor is sleek and modern and the atmosphere is surprisingly upscale given you are about 20 feet from the men’s department. I will definitely be returning.
