EAT PALM BEACH | CHUCK BURGER
Chuck Burger Joint is a regular go-to in our house. Service is quick, it’s casual food and dining and a good deal for lunch or dinner. The concept is simple but on point with burgers and hot dogs, shakes and custards and of course fries. It’s an order-at-the-counter setup with a buzzer so you can sit and relax while you wait for your food. The atmosphere is a little more industrial and minimalistic with a blend of sheet metal and wood composing the walls, tables and chairs.
Depending on your level of hunger, you can go Chuckburger or Double. All burgers are cooked medium unless otherwise requested and come with the staples in terms of toppings. They offer “Chuck Spread” which I’m pretty sure falls heavily in the Thousand Island category. The meat is fresh ground, natural angus beef with a nice flavor and their burgers are the perfect cross between messy and not greasy.
Personally, I always go for the Turkey Burger because they do it so well and that’s hard to find. My only gripe would be that they go overkill with the onions, but the burger is moist, I love the Tilamook cheddar and the mustard spread is right on. Plus, it makes enough of a mess to feel like you’re part of the group. They also have a ChickBurger if you’re not in the burger mood and the BellaBurger for you vegetarians out there. The fries are fast-foody and delicious (also available as cheese or Disco Fries) and a little known secret is the sweet potato waffle fries.
What may come as a surprise are the drink options, which include draft beers like Tequesta Brewing Company‘s Chancellor and Brooklyn Brewery Lager, canned and bottles beers like Cigar City and Yuengling and half bottle wines like Stag’s Leap, Duck Horn and Prosecco. Not a bad spread for a burger joint!
