PB CATCH REVEALS PLANS FOR SUMMER SHACK,

A COASTAL CASUAL POP UP SLATED FOR A MID-MAY LAUNCH

PB Catch Seafood & Raw Bar is trading in its loafers for espadrilles this summer, with the debut of its new coastal cottage-inspired lounge, Summer Shack, opening to the public on May 16, 2015.

Emulating the shabby chic appeal of a beach-weathered bungalow, Summer Shack will feature its own easy dockside menu and refreshing summertime cocktails in the restaurant’s reimagined bar and lounge space.

“The idea for Summer Shack evolved because we wanted to create an experience for our guests that recreated the relaxed, carefree appeal of the coastal setting that surrounds us,” said PB Catch’s Thierry Beaud. “We’re very happy with the result and can’t wait to share Summer Shack with the rest of Palm Beach.”

To help create the tasteful and authentic setting for Summer Shack, Beaud solicited the talents of celebrated designer and event planner, Bruce Sutka of Sutka Visual Design to reform the swanky yacht-like setting of PB Catch’s bar and lounge, into an island beach shack with a modern twist, complete with surf boards, marine lighting, and new casual staff attire outfitted by Palm Beach’s own Island Company.

For Summer Shack’s unique food and drink offerings, Chef de Cuisine Aaron Black used his roots as a Jupiter native as inspiration to create an approachable, comfort-style menu. Fresh tuna stack sandwiches, shrimp po’ boys, fish fingers, and yellowfin tuna tacos are just some of the items that will appeal to seafoodies, while landlubbers can chose from such options as house cured and char grilled hanger steak and buttermilk fried chicken. The Shack will also feature a variety of special drinks on top of the restaurant’s existing beer, wine and cocktails menu, including the watermelon sangria, and fresh fruit frozen drinks made to order on site with The Real McCoy Rum and served in retro ceramic Tiki mugs. The Summer Shack Citrus Ale, a hand crafted brew imagined by Chef Black and a custom-created exclusively for Summer Shack, will also be featured as PB Catch’s first and only draft beer. PB Catch will continue to serve its full line of offerings from the existing menu in its formal dining room space.

Summer Shack will open to the public on Saturday, May 16. A series of coastal-themed summer events will also be announced following the launch, and Shack guests can anticipate live music for the launch, to enhance the island-time vibe. Summer Shack’s opening weekend will also begin PB Catch’s summer hours of 4:30 p.m. to close, Monday through Saturday.

PB Catch Seafood & Raw Bar is located at 251 Sunrise Avenue, Palm Beach, FL 33480, and is open Monday through Saturday, with the raw bar and lounge opening at 4:30pm. Full dinner service begins at 5:30 p.m.
